WHY

What is the purpose of a wedding film?

It’s a question I’ve been fascinated by for years.

Is it a documentary of an event? A pedestal on which two people can see themselves at their most radiant? Is it about romance? Family? Community? Legacy?

I’ve come to believe it’s all of the above.

To master an art, you must truly love it — and that’s how I’ve approached this kind of filmmaking. I’m a true fan of the genre.

I’ve studied nearly every style of wedding film out there. And over time, I began to notice what separated the truly compelling ones: some were more romantic, others more visually striking. A select few managed to be unforgettable.

What made them so? What made me want to watch until the very end? Why did certain combinations of music and image pull at the heart? What are the moments that reveal a person’s character and make you feel closer to them?

The wedding films on this site were created in that spirit.

From This Day was founded by myself, Ryan, together with my partner in life and art, Valentine.

Our backgrounds are rooted in fashion, beauty, and refined visual storytelling — spaces where detail and emotion go hand in hand.

We’ve had the privilege of working with renowned names such as:

Cartier, Rituals Cosmetics, Iris van Herpen, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Anne Hathaway, Hailey Bieber, Gal Gadot, Carice van Houten, Tiffany & Co and Swarovski.

That experience is foundational to the work we do now. It informs both the technical craftsmanship and the visual language we bring to our wedding films.

A wedding is a high-pressure environment. So much unfolds at once, often in fleeting moments. Our eyes have been trained to notice the subtle, the beautiful, the easily missed — and our skills allow us to capture them quickly and with intention.

That is what defines a From This Day film.

Moments that are beautiful, fascinating, romantic, unexpected, intimate, grand, funny, stressful, thrilling, epic — sometimes even all at once.

These moments are carefully, lovingly woven together with a high level of precision and craft, in order to create a gorgeous memory.

Made for the two people who have chosen to spend their lives together.
